Part-Time Accounts & Business Administrator
1620 hours per week - Permanent

Salary: £13.50 - £16.00 depending on experience Location: Linford Wood, Milton Keynes.

We are looking for a reliable, organised Accounts & Business Administrator to take ownership of day-to-day accounts administration and practical office support within our small, growing business.

This varied role would suit an experienced administrator or someone studying bookkeeping or accounting who is accurate, proactive and keen to develop.

Accounts & Business Administrator - Hours and flexibility

16-20 hours per week, slightly different hours could be considered.

Monday is required and Friday availability is preferred.

Accounts & Business Administrator - Key responsibilities

Process purchase invoices and approvals, prepare and issue sales invoices, and maintain supporting records.
Monitor debtors and creditors, follow up overdue balances and resolve routine account queries.
Manage the accounts inbox and customer, supplier and expense-management portals.
Reconcile spend cards, credit cards, receipts and directors statements, and prepare agreed management information.
Maintain accurate petty-cash, vehicle, fuel, mileage and supplier records.
Gather information for our external accountant and complete agreed follow-up actions.
Coordinate routine facilities administration, including utilities, supplier contracts, meter readings, waste services and office supplies.
Provide practical administrative support and improve processes as the business grows.

Accounts & Business Administrator - What we are looking for

Experience in accounts, bookkeeping or business administration, or current study towards a relevant qualification.
Confidence working with invoices, reconciliations and spreadsheets.
Strong accuracy, organisation and follow-through.
Clear, professional communication with colleagues, customers, suppliers and accountants.
A proactive, trustworthy and adaptable approach, with the ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
