Sussex Campervans is a premium campervan manufacturer based near Horsham, West Sussex. We design and build high-quality compact campervans and support customers throughout ownership.
As the business continues to grow, we are looking for a Bookkeeper / Accounts & Administrative Assistant to support the Finance Director with day-to-day financial and office administration.
This is a practical, detail-focused role suited to someone who enjoys keeping things accurate, organised and running smoothly behind the scenes.
Bookkeeper / Accounts - The role
Working closely with the Finance Director, the Bookkeeper will support the business with:
Day-to-day bookkeeping
Purchase and sales ledger processing
Bank reconciliations
Invoicing and payment tracking
Credit control support
Expense processing
VAT preparation and supporting information
Liaison with accountants and external advisors
General office and finance administration
Maintaining orderly financial records and systems
The role can be tailored depending on experience and hours, with scope to grow responsibilities over time.
WHO WERE LOOKING FOR
Bookkeeper / Accounts - Were looking for someone who:
Has bookkeeping or accounts experience
Is confident working with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or similar)
Is accurate, methodical and well organised
Can manage confidential financial information professionally
Is comfortable supporting a senior finance role
Has good general admin and IT skills
Formal accounting qualifications are welcome but not essential practical experience and attention to detail matter most.
